I grew up with lemon trees growing in our So Cal backyard and sadly, I didn’t realize how lucky we were until I started cooking in adulthood. Of course there are lemons available at the grocery store in Kansas, but to have an infinite supply of fresh lemons is something I wish I had now. 🍋

Have you ever made your own lemonade? I’m not talking about the powdered stuff you drink at parties. This recipe is super easy and starts with making a simple syrup… then combining lemon juice with the simple syrup, then diluting with water. Fool proof every time!

Ingredients:

• 1 cup white, granulated sugar
• 1 cup water (for the simple syrup)
• 1 cup lemon juice
• 2 to 3 cups cold water (to dilute)
