Have you ever dropped eggs before? Was it in slow motion? Did you try to magically catch them mid-air and totally fail? When this happens, my dog gets so happy and instantly runs over to lick it off the ground. Gross.

I know us chicken keepers have used the good ole’ shirt trick when collecting eggs. It definitely is convenient when you don’t have a bowl or egg carton handy. These days we have been getting 5-6 eggs every day and that’s too many to collect in my shirt without one or two casualties!

Gabby is a wonderful, creative friend of mine. She made this lovely egg apron using my two favorite colors, gray and yellow. Gone are the days of egg collecting with my t-shirt! I love this apron.
